During this time, a Sandstone Representative will meet with you to discuss what you are looking for in a pool, as well as, take measurements of the area that the swimming pool will be built.
After this, you will receive a 3-D computer generated design before we begin the construction process. Once the design has been approved by you, the client, then we will move on to the next step.
Once the design process is complete, we stake out and spray paint the waterline of your pool in your yard. This not only gives you an idea of how the pool will fit into your backyard, but it also gives our construction experts vital information on how your yard drains so that we can make sure your project lasts a lifetime.
In some instances, we will have to take down a portion of your fencing to access your backyard for the excavation process. If this is needed, we will give you a few days' notice so that you can make sure your pets are secured. We will then dig out the shape and depth of your pool according to you design. We take our time with this process to make sure it is done right.
Structural Steel is the steel reinforcement that creates the backbone of your pool to give it added strength. It consists of a series of bars specifically engineered for your pool design requirements.
Our plumbers follow drafted plumbing schematics to the last detail to ensure the highest level of quality and safety. We pressure test our plumbing lines, checking pressure readings multiple times during construction to ensure that all aspects of your hydraulic system is safeguarded.
Once the plumbing and equipment are successfully installed, your new pool is ready for the electrical equipment, including lights. Our electrical crew will bring in a trencher that will dig a 6" to 12" trench from your electric panel to the pool equipment. The trench will be necessary as the components of your pool will need to be connected to the electricity box near your home. It is important that you mark and/or expose any sprinkler or drip lines that must be protected. If there are plants or obstructions that need safeguarding, it is important to do so before the crew arrives to begin this phase of construction.
Your pools' structure is built with reinforced steel rebar, spaced closely together to offer strength and long term durability. Once the frame is built, the wiring is installed by our experienced electrical crew. The next step will be to have a city inspector sign off on the work done so far. After this, the gunite crew will arrive. The gunite is blown through a large nozzle onto your pools frame. The crew will then shape and finish your concrete pool shell.
The next step is any hardscaping that has been included in your plan. This can include paver materials you have chosen for your backyard or stone facia for the raised areas of your swimming pool. We will then build your pool deck according to your design specifications.
